Evergreen Melt Vessel

Real pine, fir, and spruce needles were wedged directly into the clay, leaving behind subtle organic impressions throughout the surface. After an extended drying period to account for the unpredictability of natural materials, the piece was bisque fired.

The glaze incorporates handmade pinecone ash, created from pinecones gathered in the mountains, dried, and burned down to ash. During the final firing, the glaze melts and moves freely—forming intentional drips that cascade down the surface.

These flowing glaze lines create a sense of movement, as if the forest itself is melting over the form. Deep green tones break and pool, with natural variation from the ash adding depth and unpredictability.

Each drip is permanently captured in motion.
